Wadad & Brendon’s Opulent State Library Wedding
Wadad and Brendon was another one of my couples that had their wedding postponed twice during the pandemic. During that time, they even welcomed their baby girl Charlotte—YAY. So planning the wedding was double the stress, but Wadad (Dee), had a vision and we knew we had to make it happen!
Starting with the ceremony at St Michael’s Uniting Church it then followed with a reception in the spectacular Ian Potter Queen’s Hall in the State Library of Vic. I remembered when Dee first came to me with her mood board of her entire wedding, the first thoughts I had was “wow! she’s come prepared” and that was great because it meant my job was a whole lot easier to nut out from there.
True to her mood board, her final stationery choices was classy and sophisticated. She wanted a script font to match the theme. She had these amazing palm leaves mixed in with monstera leaves, roses and orchids as her centre pieces, so we took colour inspiration from there. We had a combination of a dark forest green, black and white throughout the stationery. The first highlight of it all would definitely have to be the 1.8M tall seating chart we did which features a gold foil decal heading. This by far, is the tallest signage I’ve ever had to do! The second highlight would be the menus we did —it features a dual colour print on black, so there’s a hidden feature of the word ‘Dine’ that you can see printing behind the white writing. It’s all about the subtle details!
We had everything from menus, place cards, Whiskey menu, wishing well box and signages throughout the day. Everything about the day was giving out semi Gatsby vibes that it was hard not to fall in love with the overall look so I was waiting patiently for Tahnee Jade to send snippets of the wedding through.
So, I’m so excited to be able to finally share them with you all, see below.
